Welcome to Student Media!

Our staff are a part Center for Student Engagement at Georgia Tech. Student Engagement empowers and supports registered student organizations to catalyze belonging and create an engaging campus community. The Center has a strong history of developing and working closely with Georgia Tech’s outstanding student leaders.

Student Media strives to provide the Institute and Atlanta communities with news, information and a forum for the exchange of ideas, while providing an educational learning environment for students interested in creative expression and media management.

Applications for 2026–2027 editorships of the following student publications are now being accepted!

The Board of Student Publications and the Office of Student Media are now accepting applications for the following student publication editors:

  • Technique (weekly student newspaper)
  • Blueprint (yearbook)
  • Erato (literary and visual arts magazine)
  • North Avenue Review (open forum magazine)
  • The Tower (undergraduate research journal)
  • 3484 (news and information magazine)

Qualified candidates may secure applications starting Friday, March 2nd, 2026 by contacting macpitts@gatech.edu.

Applications are due by no later than 5:00pm, Friday, March 13, 2026.

Student Media History

Student-produced publications have been an integral part of the Georgia Tech since its earliest days as an Institute of higher education.

WREK 91.1 FM

WREK is the entirely student managed, operated and engineered radio station of Georgia Tech. We broadcast 24/7 on 91.1 FM with 100,000 Watts of quality, diverse programming.

Technique

The South’s liveliest college newspaper. Our comprised entirely of Tech students interested in improving their writing, communication and design skills.

North Avenue Review

An open forum publication that provides Tech students with the chance to speak their minds about almost any topic.

Erato

Georgia Tech’s journal of arts and literature. We publish creative writing and various kinds of artwork submitted by students and faculty.

T-Book

Tech’s traditions, Alumni, Spirit, Athletics, and history handbook for new students.
